If you bake waffles at the maximum heating of the stove, like pancakes, the waffles will still turn out tasty, with a characteristic creamy taste, but they will not dry out enough, and, alas, you will not get crispy, alas.
Remove the finished waffle from the pan and immediately fold it into a tube (or horn). Delay, even in a few seconds, threatens that the wafer will seize, dry out and it will no longer be possible to roll it up - it will break.
