From the indicated amount of ingredients, I got 15 waffles (frying pan with a diameter of 20 cm).

  • butter - 100 g,
  • milk - 100 ml,
  • egg - 3 pcs.,
  • sugar - 150 g,
  • vanillin - 0.5 sachet,
  • flour - 200-220 g,

How to make waffles in a pan

Break the eggs into a bowl, add sugar to them and beat the mass well. Our goal is to achieve complete dissolution of the sugar grains. You can beat with a fork or with a mixer / blender - whoever is more convenient.

Then add milk to the sweet egg mixture.

And butter, previously melted and slightly cooled. It is more convenient for me to melt the butter like this: chop it into small pieces and send the bowl to the microwave for 30 seconds at maximum power. Fast, simple and convenient.


Add some salt to the mixture, add vanillin and mix well again. At the exit, you should get a homogeneous, liquid, sweet mass. We introduce sifted flour into it.


Knead the dough - and it's done! Smooth, homogeneous, the consistency is the same as on classic waffles... It is important that it is well distributed (not spread, namely smeared, otherwise you will have pancakes, not waffles) over the pan.

The authors of most of these recipes recommend baking waffles in a pancake pan (with a thin bottom). For me, this option is not very successful, because in such a pan the waffles burn and brown very quickly, without having time to dry properly. And in order to achieve the desired result, you have to tighten the heating of the plate to a minimum, which makes the baking process quite long - 4-5 minutes each. on one side and about 1-2 min. with another. The thick-bottomed pan heats up more slowly and retains the set heat better. Accordingly, you can screw the heating on the middle and calmly on it the oven - the waffles will dry out and brown perfectly. Approximate baking time: 2-3 minutes. on one side and about 1 min. with another.

Warm up the pan, spread 1-2 tbsp. l. dough and quickly, with the thinnest possible layer, spread the dough along the bottom. I used a frying pan with a stone coating, diameter - 20 cm. I laid out the dough in 2 tbsp. l. (no slide). There is enough oil in the dough so that it does not stick, so there is no need to lubricate the pan with anything else.


Let the waffle brown on the bottom and dry on top. Then turn over using a spatula and also dry on the other side. If you bake waffles at the maximum heating of the stove, like pancakes, the waffles will still turn out tasty, with a characteristic creamy taste, but they will not dry out enough, and, alas, you will not get crispy, alas.

Remove the finished waffle from the pan and immediately fold it into a tube (or horn). Delay, even in a few seconds, threatens that the wafer will seize, dry out and it will no longer be possible to roll it up - it will break.

The rest of the straws are baked in the same way. The waffles are crispy almost as soon as you remove them from the pan. Store them in a dry, well-ventilated area. Do not put in a bag, plastic container or any other container (especially when warm) - the waffles will damp and become soft.

Now the tubes can be served immediately or filled with cream (condensed milk). It seemed to me that without the traditional waffle pattern, they looked boring, so before serving, I slightly sprinkled them with powdered sugar. Delicious, soft creamy and crunchy they are in any version!
