Soda was first discovered in the second half of the 19th century. She really liked it and since that time has not left the store shelves. In the last century, carbonated water was called soda and was purchased from vending machines. Today it is easy to buy it in any store. But not everyone knows that making soda at home is also not difficult. Preparation will take a matter of minutes, and as a result, you can get more than one liter of thirst-quenching drink.
To do this, there are several absolutely not complicated ways. So, to make a drink, you need to take mineral water and mix it with soda and citric acid.
Ingredients:
At home, it is also easy to make soda water in other ways.
This recipe works well for making large portions of sparkling water.

An interesting way to make a carbonated drink at home is the method using ready-made carbon dioxide.
Ingredients:
Cooking method:
At home, you can also prepare a carbonated drink by fermentation.
Ingredients:
It can be a concentrated liquid: fruit drink, lemonade, etc., or herbs: tarragon or mint.
Cooking method:
For those who want to experiment and get a store-bought taste of the drink, we recommend adding lemonade, uzvar, fruit drink, or any kind of juice. You can achieve the effect and flavorings.
However, not everyone can drink carbonated fluids. Therefore, it is rational to find out how to make still water from sparkling water?
There are 2 main ways to get still water:
Doing both manipulations is absolutely not difficult. Carbonated water is natural and artificial. Let's say right away that naturally saturated is a very rare phenomenon.
But we all know how delicious! So try the methods above and choose your favorite!
Mix citric acid and pour over with a mixture of water, sugar and syrup, add ice and drink as quickly as possible. Citric acid will react with soda, bubbles will appear. If the taste seems too strong, reduce the amount of soda and citric acid.
Of course, such lemonade will not be carbonated for long, but as a fun experiment, you can try it. Plus, it's fast and inexpensive.
Make holes in two covers, tightly fix the hose in them. Calculate so that one end of the hose almost touches the bottom of the bottle. Pour the liquid you want to carbonate into one of the bottles and close it tightly. The hose should go as deep as possible into your future lemonade.
Pour soda into the second bottle through a funnel, fill it with vinegar and quickly close the second cap. If you hear a hiss and see the mixture bubbling, you've done it right. If the vinegar and baking soda don't react strongly enough, shake the bottle. This will enhance the response.
The gas will go through the hose, saturating the lemonade with carbon dioxide. If the connection is leaky, you will get a slightly carbonated drink.
You can carbonate any water-based drink, but it's best not to experiment with coffee and tea. On average, a liter bottle of water can be carbonated in 15–20 minutes. Of course, the process of creating a siphon will take time, but it will not be wasted.
The siphon can be ordered online or searched in stores. Now there is a large selection of plastic and metal soda siphons, even with drawings. So finding one that fits into will be easy.
The principle of operation of a purchased siphon is the same as that of a home-made one, only compressed gas cartridges must be purchased separately. And if you find a vintage siphon, it will not only help to carbonate water, but also serve as a stylish piece of furniture.
This lemonade is more popular in Asia than here, but for lovers of everything unusual, it can become a favorite drink.
Remove skin and finely chop. Mix with the rest of the ingredients, pour boiling water and let cool.
You can prepare ginger syrup in advance and dilute it with water. To do this, grate fresh ginger on a fine grater and add to sugar syrup.
This light lemonade with a mild taste perfectly quenches thirst. And cucumber water is the basis of many cleansing diets.
Cut the cucumber into thin slices and cover with water, let it brew for about 30 minutes. Then add honey, lime juice and sparkling water. Berries can be added before serving. They will pleasantly shade the taste of the drink.
Grapefruit charge of morning energy for those who love non-standard combinations.
Mix juices, soak cinnamon sticks in them for 30 minutes. Then take out the cinnamon, dilute the juice mixture with carbonated water. Before serving, return the cinnamon to the lemonade for garnish.
The first appearance of carbonated water dates back to the middle of the 19th century. Otherwise, it is called soda. Even then, consumers liked it with its unusual bubbles, pinching the tongue and so refreshing in the summer heat. And since then, soda has been a regular product on store shelves. There is nothing easier than buying a bottle of sparkling water, but not many people know that it is possible to make a prickly liquid at home.
It's actually very simple! We take a glass of mineral water, add a teaspoon of soda to it, extinguish it with a couple of tablespoons of lemon juice or citric acid (0.5 teaspoon). Mix and you're done! And if you add a few circles of lemon and sugar - you get lemonade. With the addition of syrup or jam - a sweet drink.
Consider what other ways to get sparkling water at home:
As you can see, sparkling water can be not only purchased, but also prepared at home. Experiment with tastes, prepare various drinks and enjoy a product prepared by your own hands - it's always healthier! And it is especially tasty and healthy if the water for cooking is obtained from modern
It's not that complicated. There are several prescription mixtures, but the main one for each is carbon dioxide CO2, which is not amenable to the combustion process, has no smell and color, and is also much heavier than oxygen and at the same time quickly dissolves in a liquid, giving the latter a slight sourness. This is exactly what the soda production process looked like in Soviet-era machines: carbon dioxide was supplied under pressure from a cylinder to a tank of sweetened water and completely dissolved in the liquid.
For home water, you can use special cylinders with carbon dioxide and a siphon that allows you to supply gas in portions to water (sold in hardware stores).
Is it possible to purchase a siphon and cylinders? It's okay, you can produce carbon dioxide from household items such as baking soda and vinegar. When these two ingredients are mixed, a chemical reaction occurs, the consequence of which is the release of carbon dioxide. Mix products in the following proportions: per liter of water, take seven tablespoons of 9% vinegar and baking soda in the amount of two teaspoons. You will also need the following inventory: a meter-long PVC tube, two bottles (choose dark ones) and two lids with pre-punched holes, the diameter of which is slightly smaller than the diameter of the tube.
The first bottle must be filled with water, and the second bottle should be filled with soda and vinegar. It is important to remember that the chemical reaction must be delayed in time, so pre-wrap the soda in a paper towel and pour vinegar on its surface - this way you will have time to firmly fix the bottle cap before the release of carbon dioxide begins and you can avoid losing a significant part of it volume. Be sure to fix the tube tightly in the cap holes with liquid plastic or glue to avoid gas leakage.
A paper napkin can be replaced with an envelope made of cling film or foil. Make holes in its surface in advance to facilitate the process of a chemical reaction.
During the process of mixing water and carbon dioxide, the soda container must be shaken well for 5 minutes in order to release the maximum possible volume of gas in the best possible way. At the end you will get a drink of a low degree of carbonation, the taste of which can be diversified with the help of syrups, fruit or fruit juices.
How to make sparkling water at home? Very simple, one of the suggested ways.
1. Using citric acid and soda.
1.1 Powder composition
1.1.1 Soda - 30 g (three teaspoons).
1.1.2 Citric acid - 60 g (six teaspoons).
1.1.3 Powdered sugar - 50 g (five teaspoons).
1.2 Step by step instructions
1.2.1 Prepare a dry mortar.
1.2.2 We fall asleep (container, mortar) measured volumes of soda and citric acid. Mix the ingredients together. We crush the resulting mass until a powder of a fine fraction is formed.
1.2.3 Add powdered sugar. Mix again until a homogeneous mass is obtained.
1.2.4 Pour the resulting powder into a glass container with a tightly closed lid. It is advisable to mark the container with the inscription "SHIPS".
1.3 The composition of the drink
1.3.1 glass of water (juice, fruit drink, etc.)
1.3.2 prepared powder - 20 g (two teaspoons)
Take a glass of water, add powder and mix well. The powder crystals will react with the liquid, after which carbon dioxide will be released.
2. Using vinegar and soda.
2.1 Ingredients
2.1.1 Vinegar 9% - 100 ml
2.1.2 Soda - 20 g (two teaspoons).
2.1.3 Water - 1000 ml
2.2 Step by step instructions
2.2.1 Let's prepare two containers with tight-fitting stoppers, interconnected by tubes.
2.2.2 Container No. 2 is filled with water and tightly closed with a cork. We lower the tube to the very bottom of the container. Additionally, several through holes can be made from the bottom of the tube.
2.2.3 Pour container No. 1 with vinegar, lower the soda (packed in a paper bag) and tightly close the cork. We install the tube at the top of the container.
2.2.4 We shake the containers for five, six minutes.
For better saturation of water with carbon dioxide, it must be cooled to four degrees Celsius.
3 Using a siphon.
3.1 Ingredients
3.1.1 Water
3.1.2 Carbonic acid
3.2 Step by step instructions
3.2.1 Carefully study the instructions for filling the siphon.
3.2.2 Fill the siphon with chilled liquid
3.2.3 Screw the siphon head tightly.
3.2.4 Insert a can of carbon dioxide into the charger.
3.2.5 We press the charger to the inlet valve. After the gas is completely out of the cartridge, unscrew the charger and remove the empty cartridge.
The larger the capacity of the siphon, the more cans you will use per refill.
The resulting soda can be used to make kvass at home.
4 By fermentation
4.1 Ingredients
4.1.1 Cold water - 3700 ml
4.1.2 Warm water - 100 ml
4.1.3 Sugar - 50 ml
4.1.4 Bread yeast - 1 (tablespoon) or brewer's yeast - 1/8 (teaspoon)
4.1.5 Natural flavoring (cider, lemonade, etc.) - 1 (teaspoon)
4.2 Step by step instructions
4.2.1 Strictly observing the proportions, dissolve the yeast with warm water and let the resulting mixture brew for at least five minutes.
4.2.2 Place (reservoir) sugar, flavor, dissolved yeast. Add some water and stir until the sugar dissolves completely. Add the rest of the water and stir well.
4.2.3 Pour the resulting composition into bottles and close them tightly with lids. Put the bottles in a dark place. Store them at room temperature.
4.2.4 Within five days, squeeze the bottles, release the gas if they are too hard (unscrew the cork and screw it back on).
4.2.5 After the specified period, put the bottles in the refrigerator. They must be firm.
The produced carbonated drink must be drunk. Shelf life is not more than a month.
