This is already everyday life. Not a single festive table is complete without a salad with crab sticks, this is already the same tradition as Olivier and fish in a fur coat. By the way, everyone knows that these crab sticks have one name, but this does not bother anyone: it is made from fish, and it’s delicious. Not to mention the fact that if such sticks were really made from crab meat, they would cost several times more.

Correct squid

If you decide to take canned squid meat for pizza, this will greatly simplify the matter. But frozen carcasses of this cephalopod (and this is what the squid is called from the point of view of biology) are much more common. Well, they are cheaper.

What's the best squid? The one that is vacuum packed with a little ice. Crumbled ice, similar to March snow, is most often a clear sign that the package has thawed at least once and then frozen again. We don't need all this, since each package clearly says about the temperature regime: it must be constant and the temperature must be such that the squid does not defrost. In such a package, the meat will not taste good. And in especially severe cases, there will also be a smell.

If you buy squid without packaging, it is best, of course, to take already peeled fillets... But you can take whole carcasses, if you have the time and inspiration to cut and peel. The most unpleasant thing about squid is its sticky film. On a raw carcass, you can suffer for a long time and hopelessly, trying to separate it. This is extra work. Dip the carcasses in boiling water for just a few seconds, or pour over them with hot water. The film will curl up immediately and will be much easier to remove.

Finally, what is the right boiled squid? These are the ones that take a few minutes to cook. Unlike meat, say, poultry, squid meat is cooked longer, the more dense and even tough it becomes. If you do not want a pizza with rubber meat, vaguely reminiscent of seafood in smell, boil the squid rings for just a couple of minutes. And do not be afraid that, from your point of view, he is undercooked. It will work in the oven.

Simple, fast and tasty

To make it very quick and easy - take ready-made dough for pizza, a half-kilogram package. In addition, you will need the following ingredients:

  • tomato sauce or ketchup;
  • mayonnaise;
  • 4 crab sticks;
  • one squid carcass;
  • a large tomato or two small ones;
  • onion;
  • hard cheese.

The dough has already been removed from the refrigerator and thawed. Roll it out, move it onto a baking sheet greased with vegetable oil and grease it with ketchup and mayonnaise. It is better to take olive oil, if sunflower oil - then only refined.

Cut the crab sticks slightly obliquely into circles. The squid, boiled in salted water until half cooked with a whole peeled carcass, is removed from the water, cooled and cut into medium-sized strips. Cut the onion into half rings, the tomato into slices. All this is arbitrarily laid out on the dough. Sprinkle with hard cheese (you can rub it directly on the pizza cake).

By the way, the recipe can be diversified at your discretion. For example, add olives or olives... This is a common thing in pizzas, in any normal pizzeria you can choose topping at your discretion and when ordering any pizza, just say what to add to you.

Bake in an oven preheated to 180 ° C for 20 minutes.

Seafood pizza is a fluffy and soft flatbread on which there are olive circles, shrimps, squid strips. The seafood lies on a thin layer of cheese shavings. When baked, the cheese melts, squid and shrimp are partially immersed in this melted cheese mass.

Dough:

  • flour - 400 grams;
  • water - 200 milliliters;
  • vegetable oil - 50 milliliters;
  • granulated sugar - a tablespoon;
  • dry yeast - 13 grams;
  • salt - 1/2 teaspoon.

Filling:

  • squid - two carcasses;
  • shrimp - 300 grams;
  • cheese - 140 grams;
  • olives - 50 grams;
  • spicy tomato paste - 4 tablespoons.

The sequence of cooking pizza with squid

Prepare all the ingredients for the squid pizza. These products will make 4 small pizzas. The recipe by name and quantity is presented below.


It is better to knead the pizza dough with dry yeast. Pour sugar and yeast into a deep bowl.


After yeast and granulated sugar, mix with a wooden spoon.


The yeast is poured with warm water. You can use the potato broth left over from cooking, cooled to 40 degrees. On potato broth, any unleavened pastry turns out to be lush.


Dry yeast is activated in warm water for 12-15 minutes, then sifted flour is placed in a bowl.


Salt and any vegetable oil are added.


Knead the elastic dough, form a ball.


Cover the pizza dough with a towel and leave warm for 60 minutes.


Boil peeled squid carcasses for 2 minutes, boil shrimp for 2-3 minutes. The water is not salted.


Pizza filling is prepared: shells are removed from shrimps, squid carcasses are finely chopped.


When the dough comes up, divide it into four parts, and then roll out 4 cakes, pierce the dough with a fork repeatedly.


Spread the tomato paste evenly over the cakes.


Put grated cheese on top of a layer of tomato paste.


Shrimps and squid pieces are laid out on a cheese pillow.

Transfer the pizzas to a preheated oven. Temperature - 180 degrees. Pizzas are baked quickly, they can be removed from the oven in 30-35 minutes.

For a flavored pizza with a thin crust, you will need: - 1 teaspoon of dry yeast; - 0.5 tablespoon of sugar; - 0.5 cups of boiled water; - 1 glass of flour; - a pinch of salt; - 200 grams of seafood; - 150 grams of hard cheese; - 1 tomato; - 1 bell pepper; - 5-6 olives; - 1 clove of garlic; - 1 teaspoon of olive oil; - 1 tablespoon tomato paste; - 1 tablespoon sour cream; - dry parsley.

In a deep bowl, dilute the yeast with lukewarm water and let sit for 15 minutes. Sift flour on a clean work table with a slide and gently pour the swollen yeast and olive oil into it, add salt. Knead an elastic dough and leave it for half an hour.

Cut the tomatoes, bell peppers into strips into thin slices, halve each olive. Mix sour cream and tomato paste in one cup, add crushed garlic and dry parsley to the mixture. Grate the cheese on a coarse grater.

If using frozen shrimp, pour boiling water over them and let sit for 10 minutes. Then drain the water from them and peel off the shell. If your choice fell on a canned seafood shake, remove it from the brine and put it on a sieve to drain excess liquid.

Roll out the matched dough thinly and place on a greased baking sheet. On top of the tortilla, evenly grease with sour cream and tomato paste sauce. Then place half of the grated cheese and seafood on top of it. Now add the tomatoes and bell peppers, sprinkle with the rest of the cheese and garnish with olives.

Place the pizza in an oven preheated to 200 degrees for 15-20 minutes. Then take it out, wait for it to cool a little, and cut it into pieces.

Pizza with squid and mussels

To make pizza according to this recipe, you will need: - ready-made puff pastry; - 3 tablespoons of tomato sauce; - 1 pinch of salt; - 150 grams of hard cheese; - fresh dill; - 0.5 onions; - 1 tomato; - 120 grams of mussels; - 150 grams of squid; - 1 large shrimp.

To soften the squid meat, it should be slightly beaten off to soften the strong ring muscles.
