How to cook pea puree deliciously

How to cook delicious pea puree on the stove is a quick recipe without soaking the peas.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup split peas
  • 1.5 liters of water;
  • 50 g butter;
  • 50 ml of milk;
  • 2 medium onions;
  • salt.

Preparation:

Strange, but for some reason this delicious dish is practically not used by adults. But in vain! The statement that after the peas you will suffer from flatulence is groundless. This is impossible if the peas are completely cooked. Many are repulsed by the long cooking time, but if you know a few secrets, then in just 1 hour, without soaking, you will prepare a wonderful side dish, if you supplement it with fresh vegetables, then an independent hearty dinner.

Peas have significant benefits for our body: they contain a huge amount of protein, and in combination with carbohydrates, they are simply necessary for healthy development. The low calorie content of the product, with a high degree of saturation, allows you to eat pea puree even on a weight loss diet.

We do not buy whole peas, but split peas.

Rinse the peas thoroughly in a colander under running cold water, about 5 minutes, until the water is clear. Boil water, add a little salt to taste and washed peas. After boiling, remove the foam and cook the peas for 10-12 minutes, then add 100 g of ice water (I threw the ice cubes directly from the freezer), after 15 minutes, repeat the procedure, in the next 15-20 minutes, the peas will be boiling enough to cook puree from it.

Drain excess water through the lid and pour into a blender. The density of the puree will depend on how much liquid remains with the peas.

Add butter, hot milk and mix into a homogeneous mass.

Finely chop the onion. Fry it until golden brown.
