How to cook pita bread strudel with apples in the oven

  • Egg - 2 pcs.;
  • Vanillin - 1 tsp
  • Cinnamon - 1 tsp
  • Sugar - 3 tablespoons
  • Vegetable oil for lubricating the mold

Steps for making a lazy pita strudel:

Wash the apples well, remove excess moisture with a paper towel. Thinly cut the skin from the fruits and cut into small cubes.

Apples, both sweet and slightly sour, are suitable for making strudel.


Transfer the cottage cheese to a separate bowl. Add the cut apple cubes to it.

To prepare strudel according to this recipe, it is better to choose cottage cheese not pasty, but with pronounced grains. This makes the finished dish much tastier.


From the spices we need vanillin and cinnamon. We send vanillin to a bowl with cottage cheese and apples.

First we wrap the sides, then slowly begin to wrap the bottom edge of the pita bread without filling.

Even if the lavash breaks through a little in some place, it's okay, everything will then be wrapped in a roll.


We roll the pita bread with the filling into a roll. We try to leave the seam below. This way we can be sure that the roll will not unfold during the baking process.


Put the remaining half of the filling on the second sheet and roll it up in the same way.


Cover the baking sheet with baking paper, grease it lightly with vegetable oil. Carefully transfer the rolls onto a baking sheet.
