Perhaps not a single modern festive table is complete without some kind of seafood dish. And seafood lovers allow themselves the same salad with squid and corn on ordinary days, without waiting for a special occasion. However, most often we prepare this dish using the same long-known methods. Rarely does a culinary specialist try to diversify such a salad and decides to experiment. But we decided to rectify the situation and tell you how to make a salad with squid and corn tastier and more varied, how you can supplement it and what the main ingredients will perfectly combine with.

The easiest option

This cooking method can, perhaps, be called classic, since many people know how to cook it. Also, everyone knows what is included in this salad: squid, corn, eggs, rice. Only a dressing can make it more interesting: not standard mayonnaise, but sour cream, to which only a little is added. Greens can also refresh this dish: traditional onion-feathers with dill.

Cheese salad with squid

This is a more interesting option. For him, quickly cooked squids (remember: you cannot cook for a long time, otherwise they will become rubbery) in the amount of half a kilogram are cut into medium-sized strips, and the onion is crumbled into the thinnest half-rings and is poured with boiling water for a quarter of an hour (this will leave excessive bitterness and a characteristic smell). Two hard-boiled eggs are cut into cubes, a few lettuce leaves are torn, a can of corn is opened and decanted. All components are put into a bowl, salad with squid and corn is flavored with salt, pepper and grated cheese (150 grams), and then seasoned with mayonnaise. The dish is now ready to serve.

Shrimp + squid

As you know, seafood combines with each other just perfect. So a salad with squid and corn will only benefit if you add shrimp to it. In what ratio to combine them will depend on which of the seafood you prefer. To get started, try taking one hundred grams of already peeled shrimp for two squids. The onion is also needed in this salad, but it will be tastier if you simmer it first, and in olive oil. And the dish will turn out even more interesting if you introduce an apple into it. Then the sequence of actions will be as follows: cubes of apples are mixed with pieces of shrimp, laid out on the bottom of a salad bowl and lightly smeared with light mayonnaise. A layer of only apples is added on top, then mayonnaise again. After that, corn is laid out and coated with mayonnaise. The last is the layer of their squid with an onion. I must say that this is a rather popular salad. Squids, corn, crab sticks are complemented by most cooks with eggs and Chinese cabbage. First, it is she who is processed: it is chopped, salted and wrinkled a little. 150 grams is enough for a fairly large salad bowl. Small cubes of a 100-gram pack of crab sticks, straws of boiled large squid, two chopped eggs, a jar of corn are poured there. Salad "Squid in the garden"

The combination of squid with corn has long been one of the classic ones, however, ordinary vegetables can diversify it, enrich the taste of the dish, the distinctive feature of which is juiciness, freshness, and aroma.

We will need:

  • Glazed squid (frozen) - 3 carcasses;
  • Pickled sweet corn - 1 can
  • Fresh cucumber - 1 medium-sized vegetable;
  • Any bow - 1 head;
  • Green onions (feathers) - 60 grams;
  • Fresh dill - the same amount;
  • Natural mayonnaise or yoghurt (white) - 100 ml.

Preparation:

  1. We defrost the squids, wash them, then cook them, as indicated in the first tip. Cool, remove the skin (film), then cut into cubes or short strips;
  2. We wash the green onions, dry them, then cut them into rings;
  3. Peel the head of onion or red onion, cut it into half rings, then pour boiling water over it to get rid of excess bitterness. After 3-4 minutes, drain the liquid;
  4. We also wash the green dill, and then dry it thoroughly. Then chop with a knife;
  5. We wash the fresh cucumber. It is advisable to remove the skin from it, so the salad with squid and corn will turn out to be more tender, however, it is also not prohibited to leave it. We cut the cucumber in the same way as squid - either into cubes or into strips, they should be combined externally;
  6. Drain the syrup from the corn;
  7. We collect our salad: we combine squid, corn, cucumber, all the greens, scalded onions. We fill with mayonnaise.

Tip: The salad will turn out to be more tender and juicy if you rub one sweet and sour green apple into it.

Simple salad with squid and corn

Simple and easy to prepare, this salad lives up to its name. And, in addition, it is a fairly budget option, which will not be costly to cook not only on holidays, but also on any weekday.   • Squid -2 carcasses (about 500 grams frozen);
  • Marinated sugar corn - 1 jar;
  • Estonian cheese (or any other cheese of your choice) - 180 grams;

  • Light mayonnaise (or white yogurt) - 5 tablespoons;
  • Salt.

Preparation:

  1. Defrost and boil the squid as described above. Let it cool and cut into thin strips, but not too long;
  2. We remove the husk from the onion, wash and chop it, preferably into rings. Then scald in boiling water for a minute, rinse with cool water, removing bitterness. We fold it into a strainer;
  3. Grind Estonian cheese into shavings on a fine or medium grater (for an amateur);
  4. Drain the brine from the corn;
  5. Putting together our squid and corn salad, combining all the ingredients according to the recipe: squid strips, cheese shavings, onions, corn grains. We fill everything with mayonnaise or natural white yogurt. If the last dressing option is used, you need to add some salt to everything.

The combination of salty and sweet in salads not so long ago entered the diet of our fellow citizens, however, it managed to firmly establish itself. And not in vain, since perfectly selected products not only will not spoil the taste of the dish, but are quite capable of making you fall in love and require additives.   • Frozen squids - 350 grams;
  • Multi-colored bell pepper - 2 pieces (different);
  • Green sweet and sour apple - 1 pc .;

  2. Wash the orange, remove the skin and white films, divide into slices. We cut each of them into 3 parts;
  3. Wash the apple, remove the skin from it, remove the core with the stalk. Shred the pulp into thin strips;
  4. We wash the multi-colored sweet peppers well, then cut them into halves. We remove all the seeds from the inside, cut out the stalk. Cut the pulp into thin cubes;
  5. Grind the cheese;
  6. Drain all the brine from the corn;
  7. Prepare salad dressing: combine vegetable oil with a pinch of chili powder, vinegar, mix;
  8. We collect our dish in layers: squid, orange slices, apple, peppers. Then pour the finished dressing on top, then sprinkle with cheese shavings and send it to brew in the cold for 3 hours. Then you can decorate as desired.

Pickled corn salad

Ingredients:

  • squid carcass - 2 pcs.
  • rice - 100 g
  • pickled corn - 140 g

  • ketchup - 1 tablespoon

The green onion feathers must be washed and finely chopped. Peel and grate the carrots. Open the jar of corn, drain the liquid and add the required amount of corn to the bowl with the previous salad ingredients.

Parsley also needs to be washed, dried and finely chopped. Combine all the components of the salad, season with salt and pepper to taste and season the salad with the sauce. To prepare the sauce, you need to mix mayonnaise with ketchup. Mix the prepared salad thoroughly and serve immediately.

Defrost the shrimp and place in boiling salted water. Cook them for about 2 minutes, and then strain, cool and peel off the shell. If the shrimp were purchased peeled, then they do not need to be peeled.

In a frying pan, you need to heat up the sunflower oil and put the squid cut into strips on it. You need to fry them for about 5 minutes. Chicken eggs should be placed in a pot of water and cooked until thick. Peel and grate the finished eggs.

Cut the crab sticks into small pieces. Open the jar of corn, drain the liquid and put the corn in the salad bowl. Grate the cheese on a fine grater. Mix all the components of the salad, salt and season with mayonnaise.

Squid, corn and cheese salad - recipe

Dip the squid carcass into boiling salted water. Boil it for 2-3 minutes. Remove and cool. After it has cooled, cut into thin strips.

Boil a hard-boiled egg in a separate saucepan. Cool and peel. Cut lengthwise into strips.

Grate the melted cheese on a coarse grater.

Put chopped squid, grated cheese and eggs into a salad bowl.

Add canned corn to a bowl.

Stir the squid salad. Season with mayonnaise, salt to taste.

Stir again salad with squid, corn and cheese.
